2009-10 Vocal Reference and Accompaniment Tracks Now Available
We have changed things up, just a little, this year.
With an eye on shrinking budgets and demands on resources, we are sure you will appreciate the difference.

In addition to our “Part By Part” part dominant recordings for each new BriLee Music published choral this year, we are posting both the Vocal Reference recording AND the Accompaniment tracks as FREE MP3 downloads. You are welcomed and invited to download any or all of these tracks, burn your own CUSTOM CD, or download to you iPod, laptop, etc. We do, of course, extend this permission to your students as well.

BriLee is proud to announce a NEW Vocal Solo book for the developing Treble voice! In a new approach, this collection features arrangements and new works from 5 of the most prominent women composers. Inside, you will find the same, consistent features found in the other 4 books. Vocally, there are selections with constrained or limited ranges, selections with wide ranges, with a moderately low tessitura or placed higher in the vocal range. Of course, each book contains a CD with a piano accompaniment as well as demonstration tracks. Each accompaniment track also has strategically placed index marks that let a student or teacher quickly move to a particular section of the solo. A most beautiful collection from Lynn Shaw Bailey, Vicki Tucker Courtney, Laura Farnell, Earlene Rentz and Ruth Elaine Schram.

Carl Fischer Music is thrilled to announce From Concepts to Concerts from Dr. Earlene Rentz, a supplementary text for the choral rehearsal which provides exercises that teach fundamental concepts to choral singers. Dr. Rentz has drawn from her years of experience as a choral director and clinician to create these exercises, which are arranged progressively in difficulty, allowing all grade levels to benefit from the collection.
Choral teachers can identify musical problems within their groups and fix them before learning new repertoire, allowing for more efficient rehearsals. Plus, each exercise covers concepts within the context of an actual octavo. Some basic concepts covered include: rhythm, pitch, tempo, phrasing, diction, style, and meter. Carl Fischer has also helpfully provided classroom reproduction permission for ALL exercises. Choral directors will be grateful for this indispensable teaching tool! For all levels.
