Jared Hardy holds degrees in Music Education from Wayland Baptist University and Texas Tech University. He directed middle and high school choirs in Lubbock and Fort Worth from 2003–2019, concluding his career at Chisholm Trail High School, where the performing arts center now bears his name. Since retiring, he has focused on composing and arranging. Hardy resides in Fort Worth with his wife, Carla, and their two children, Lily and Jakob.
