Dan Miner is an active, full-time choral educator in the metropolitan area of Houston, TX and holds degrees from Michigan State University in both music education and piano. He has experience teaching choir at both the middle school and high school levels, earning consistent Sweepstakes awards at the Texas UIL Concert & Sight Reading Evaluation.
As a composer, his works have been featured at reading sessions across the country and have also been premiered by honor choirs at convention performances including a premiere at the 2021 & 2024 Texas Choral Directors Association Convention in San Antonio, TX and the 2024
SWACDA Convention in Denver, CO. Additionally, he was the winner of the 2024 Emily Crocker Emerging Composer Competition.
In addition to composing, outside of the classroom Dan is an active accompanist and serves as Organist at Clear Lake United Methodist Church.
